We want to help you find a place where you can connect with others in your stage of life and pursue your spiritual journey with others. The small group is at the heart of making a large church community like Zion intimate, vibrant, and friendly. It is how we bond together in building our faith.
Zion offers dozens of opportunities each month and members are working hard to add the activities that you are looking for. Options include spiritual growth groups, social groups, volunteer groups, support groups life stage groups, and leadership opportunities.
- Sarah is a lifelong member of Zion. Her parents, Dan & Linda Opsal, are also members. As a child, she enjoyed singing in the SONshine choir, and in high school she loved teaching a kindergarten Sunday school class. I am so thankful to have had Pastors John and Ed as my pastors growing up. I was baptized by Pastor Ed, and Pastor John married my husband, Wayne, and I 14 years ago. - Lee Ann is a lifelong member of Zion. Her ancestors had been members since the 1880s, and she was baptized, confirmed, and married at Zion. My fondest memory is filling a church pew with my family when I was a little girl. One Sunday (in the old Zion) I can remember my dad taking me out of church for “unacceptable behavior.” Even though I was being reprimanded, this memory still leaves a warm feeling in my heart. - When Barb moved to Buffalo in 1995 she visited a few churches in the area before deciding to Join Zion. Pastor Ed and Pastor John made that decision easy. Barb is married, with no children. She enjoys the musical variety at Zion on Sunday mornings.
