Confirmation isn’t just an academic process or a requirement for membership at Zion. It’s about forming Christ-followers. Confirmation at Zion is a carefully designed program – one that is designed to bring youth to a closer understanding of God’s Word, their savior Jesus Christ, and the Church as a whole.
About the Program
Zion bases its Confirmation instruction on a three year cycle of lessons.
- Old Testament
- New Testament
- Lutheran Theology and Doctrine
All students in each Confirmation grade will study the same material during that year. At the end of the three year cycle, every student will have been exposed to each of the subjects, though not in the same order.
Classes are held on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm with occasional special events. The schedule is built around the school calendar to include 20-25 group sessions (lessons and fun events). The goal is to use study, testimonies, fellowship and worship to create a strong community of young people who have the tools necessary to live a life of faith.
