40 Days with Martin Luther
It’s been 500 years since Martin Luther felt the need to reform the church of his day. He wrote, and he preached, and he put himself on the line for what he believed was God’s best way for God’s people to live. We call ourselves Lutherans here at Zion Lutheran Church, so what does a revolution in faith and religion from 500 years ago mean to us today? This Lent, we’ll take a good look at what our mission is at Zion as well as a few of the more profound teachings on faith and life that Luther penned. This Lenten journey will help us prepare for the fall commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the start of the Reformation.
Come and join us, come and see what God is up to and what he has been up to for 500 years in the Lutheran church!
Worship on Wednesdays
Come and see what God is up to and what he has been up to for 500 years in the Lutheran church! The Lenten Wednesday message series (noon and 6:30pm) will be a chance to take our 500 years of shared Christian heritage and apply it to our current context. What does it mean to live assured of our salvation? Who is our neighbor and how does God call us to serve both him and them? It will be a refreshing reminder of the joy and freedom God calls us to know as his people.
