Summer Second Wednesdays are Back!
Did you miss July‘s Summer Second Wednesday? Many families shared a meal, conversation, worship, and the variety of activities. Head to Zion on August 11 for another great evening celebrating music and worship. The focus this month is discipleship.
Second Wednesdays in 2010 are: July 14, and August 11. Mark your
calendars now!Each evening includes:
- Supper served from 5-6pm. August is hamburgers and ice cream sundaes. Free-will donations to cover the cost will be accepted
- A short worship service at 6:15 led by youth director Myron Crawford. August's service will include music from students participating in the Young Ringers' Mini-Camp.
- Programs for all ages including adult education, youth, and family activities starting at 7pm
August 14 Programs at 7pm:
- Adult Education: Membership and Discipleship - Pastor Karri begins discussion on Power Surge, the book by Mike Foss that is the focus of the congregational book study. Discussion will focus on his main premise: It‘s time for the church to move from a membership model to a discipleship model.
- Senior High Graceland - Faith Life: What Do You Need? Gather with other students entering grades 9-12 for discussion
- Family Activity - Taking apart and putting together a variety of items and discussing the many parts that make a whole. This activity is for students in grade 1-5, and preschoolers may attend if accompanied by a parent or older sibling helper.
- Nursery care for infants through kindergarten students.
- Harvest of Hands - The HOH craft group will work on a bead project.
