About Myron
What I actually do at Zion…
I am in charge of faith formation of students in middle school and senior high. This includes the Here We Stand Confirmation program for 7th & 8th Grade and Graceland for Sr High. I am also in charge of planning and executing programs such as Bible/Confirmation Camp, Sr High Mission Trip, Service Weekends and more. There are also many various other responsibilities such as vending machine filler, lead fundraiser for youth programs, worship leader for youth, chief bottle washer, poster maker, t-shirt designer, comic relief (even when not needed), etc.I was born…
Yes I was! Actually in Woodstock, IL. If you have ever watched the movie Groundhog’s Day – it was shot there. There is one scene from Planes, Trains and Automobiles as well.My favorite quote or Bible verse…
Romans 3:23-24 - For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. My family…
Is my pride and joy. I have been married to the same woman, my best friend, Jane since 1997. We have two boys – Quinn, and Josiah, and our daughter Kacy. When I’m not at Zion, you can find me…
Chillaxin’ with my family or DJing for weddings and other occasions on weekends.Something you might not know about me is . . .
I am actually a pretty good dancer. My favorite Bible character is...
I actually have two. I identify with Moses somewhat, because he was a guy that didn’t really want to do God’s work but God chose him anyways. Moses gives a reason why he is not worthy and God provides for whatever inadequacy that he might have. Moses argues, God shuts him up. I can relate. The other would be Job. He loves the Lord with all his heart, mind and soul, yet God allows Satan to take everything from and him and test him. Job does worry and question (as many of us would), but in the end, he keeps his faith and does not lose sight of who God is.
The other thing I want you to know is . . .
That one of my favorite books as a kid, was given to me by my Aunt Jenny, and I still have it is “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein. In fact, I have purchased copies for my children as well.|
