- A way to stay in touch (at least in a casual way) with friends - very much like facebook status updates without all the other notifications, applications, and such.
- A visit to a coffee shop where you can stop in and just see what's going on and what people are talking about.
- A place to find and follow others who live near you or who share the same interests.
- A source for breaking news reported by both media organizations and individuals.
- A place to get and share links and nuggets of advice.
