Thanks to everyone who has donated household items, food, and monetary support to the Ukrainian families. They are doing pretty well and are working with different agencies to get their paperwork in order so they can get jobs.
One family has moved into a home in Coon Rapids and another family has moved into an apartment in Minnetonka. One family member is still living with relatives in Montrose. They are very thankful for all that has been provided for them through churches, friends of the Montrose family, and the Ukrainian community in Coon Rapids.
Because none of them has been able to work yet, food and monetary support are still the most critical needs. The following items are also in need: Work clothes for Dmytro when he starts working construction (size small to medium, waist size 30, boot size 10 1/2-11); plastic storage units with drawers for the kids’ closets, an iron, towel bars for the bathroom, a shower head with detachable hose, blinds for 5 windows (23Dx47W); laundry detergent; used washer and dryer (the ones that came with the house don’t work adequately).
They feel so blessed and thankful to have had support from Zion, and those of us who have worked with them feel blessed to have gotten to know them as well.
