Kris grew up in the small town of Wheaton, MN. She and her husband Jack are both retired educators and have lived in Buffalo for 42 years.
During my last 12 years in education, I served as the principal at Maple Lake Elementary School. Our oldest daughter, Abby, teaches 3rd grade in Monticello and our youngest daughter, Anna, teaches English at Buffalo High School. Both of our daughters and their families live in Buffalo.
One of Kris’ favorite worship songs is 10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord).
It’s difficult to choose one favorite spiritual song, but this song reminds me that each day offers a new start! It also reminds me that God is rich in love and slow to anger….and I appreciate that so much!
Kris has been a member of Zion since 2018, and has taken on a variety of leadership roles in the congregation including serving on the council, as Vice-President and an Executive Board member, on the Youth Board, and on the board of the Zion Foundation.
One of the ministries I most appreciate is a Friday morning Bible study group. This amazing group of women inspires me and nurtures my soul!
Kris also enjoys walking, golfing, cooking, planning a vacation, or hanging out with her fabulous four grandkids!
My mom and dad raised the five of us kids to appreciate the importance of faith, family, and service to others. I’m hoping I’ll leave the same lasting legacy with my kids and grandkids.
