Lynn grew up attending St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo, and has been a member of Zion since 2002. She is married to Kent, who grew up belonging to Zion. They have three boys, Alex (17), Austin(13) and Aiden (11), and two sweet dogs, Molly and Dez. As a family they enjoy traveling, boating, swimming, and skiing.
When I was school age I would participate in the youth program at Zion with my friends Natalie Leff and Carrie Wahlberg. I enjoyed the camaraderie I felt when I was participating at Zion. So when I met Kent and we decided to marry, it just felt like the natural thing to do is to join Zion Lutheran Church so my family could all worship in one place.
Lynn and Kent run Pfeifer Property Management, providing local residential housing and commercial rental spaces as well as new construction services. Kent and Lynn have been supporting the publication of Zion’s newsletter for at least 12 years, through placing a business ad for Pfeifer Property Management. All of the cost of printing the newsletter is covered by the sponsors’ ads. The company also supports other community organizations such as the Buffalo Chamber, Food Shelf, SAVE organization and Lakeside Oasis end of Life Unit.
We do this so these organizations can continue to serve our community and the people we love.
One of Lynn’s favorite things about attending Zion is seeing how comfortable her children are at church. It has been like a second home for them, and they have all found ways to get involved at Zion, such as volunteering at VBS.
I pray that my children will continue to always feel welcome at Zion through their adult faith journey, no matter who they become as adults. I have strong hopes for all people to feel welcome at Zion, and pray that the congregation is open to discussing where people of the LGBTQ community fit into our church.
