Harvest of Hands’ donation of $5,000 supports an ark of animals for Heifer International. The ark includes two water buffalos, two cows, two sheep, two goats, bees, chicks, rabbits, and more. Heifer’s mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and to care for the earth. Heifer does this by providing appropriate livestock, training and related services to small-scale farmers and communities worldwide.
The Harvest of Hands group meets monthly to create crafts for the annual sale in November. Meeting dates are 9am on the second and fourth Tuesday and 7pm on the second and fourth Wednesday in the Wilderness Room (behind the kitchen).
The Harvest of Hands crafters encourage you to join one of their craft sessions for fun, fellowship, and a sense of accomplishment.
