Zion’s quilting group has existed for many years for the purpose of making quilts to be given to those who need them. Mission quilts made by the group were usually sent to other countries, but recently the quilts have been given to the Rotary Club of Buffalo, MN for their “Beds for Children” program and to a veterans home in Sauk Centre, MN, called Eagles’ Healing Nest.

Ron grew up in eastern South Dakota, attending a conservative Lutheran church. He remembers in 1st grade, living with his family on the second floor of the Wisconsin Synod Church student center while his father was studying for his bachelor degree at South Dakota State.
