SERVE Weekend

Each spring Zion dedicates a weekend to serving in our community.

SERVE with others from Zion, meeting new people.

SERVE at Zion to go above and beyond the normal day’s duties.

SERVE in the community, putting hands to work beyond Zion’s walls.

Participants are invited to sign up for one project from a long list of short-term service options, usually 1-3 hours in length. Projects include a chance to dig in to clean, fix, organize, and cook here at Zion, as well as in the local communities and other projects within Wright County.

SERVE Weekend

SERVE WeekendSERVE weekend is an annual tradition at Zion and this year it will be held April 26-28. Volunteers will have a chance to sign up for projects that lend a helping hand to people in local congregations, to the community, and to global concerns.

All SERVE options are short-term, mostly 1-3 hours in length. Some opportunities will be especially suited for families with children, others for youth and adults.
Some of the outdoor SERVE options have a “flex date” listing for the best weather date during or around SERVE weekend. There are large SERVE projects included in the weekend, including the John 13:34 meal prep and delivery on Friday and the Blessing Closet distribution, bike giveaway, and mobile food pantry on Saturday.
Many SERVE projects require a team of 20 or less.

When signing up to SERVE, you also have opportunity to get a free "Live Generously" t shirt, donated by Thrivent. Child and adult sizes available.
