Looking for a way to save money on groceries in these inflationary times?
Right here at Zion, the Social Ministry Team provides the answer—Fare for All! Fare for All is a non-profit discount grocery program that sells boxes of frozen meat and fresh vegetables, and is open to all—no questions, registration, or requirement—which can save you 30-40% off retail grocery prices. Fare for All has been coming to Zion every month since August of 2015 and over these 7+ years that Zion Social Ministry has offered this opportunity to over 15,000 individuals and families that came and shopped with us and together they saved close to $400,000 (based on buying $50 a visit).
We have a group of loyal, dedicated volunteers, led by Lyle Jans, who provide the ‘leg’ work to distribute the product. Many of these volunteers have been with the program since it began and say it is a rewarding experience to help feed people. We also get the help of kids from Timber Bay and local scout groups to cart the boxes to our customer cars.
If you are already using this program—thank you—if not, we strongly recommend that everyone join in the savings every month while buying healthy food!
