This month’s Harvest of Hands artist is Joy Arens. Joy joined Zion in 1987 and became involved in Harvest of Hands shortly thereafter. She has been an active volunteer ever since. Her family has also volunteered, including her husband Rich, her daughters Brandi and Sam, and her sister, Cindy. Her parents have also donated many items for the sale over the years.
Joy became the coordinator for the Harvest of Hands event about 5 years ago. Since then she has worked tirelessly for world hunger. Her many jobs include requesting matching funds, organizing many details and writing articles for the bulletin and newsletter. She also frequently suggests ideas for crafts and brings the supplies and last, but not least, she often brings treats for our meetings! She is also a talented crafter, making jewelry, ornaments and other items for the sale. She does it all with a true Christian attitude. The Harvest of Hands group is blessed to work with Joy to raise awareness and money for world hunger!
