Join us online on Wednesday, March 25, for a online Holden Evening Prayer, and a Lenten message from Pastor Dave.
Audio of the message will also be published on our podcast.
Now as they went on their way, he entered a certain village, where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. She had a sister named Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to what he was saying. But Martha was distracted by her many tasks; so she came to him and asked, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her then to help me.” But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things; there is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her.”Luke 10:38-42
Great and merciful God, source of all goodness and life,
give to your people the peace that passes all understanding,
and the will to live your Gospel of mercy and justice,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
God, remember us in your love, and teach us to pray:
All: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come: your will be done on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours,
now and forever. Amen.
The congregation is in the same position as many households at this time, with newly uncertain finances. Our expenses continue, as we work to reach out to our homes and the community in new ways. We ask that you prayerfully consider how you can continue to support our staff and budget.
We sent a mailing to the congregation today, which you can expect to receive Friday or Saturday. We expect to post more informaion on Thursday (after a Wednesday evening council meeting).
Ongoing information relating to COVID-19 and the impact on worship and schedules will be posted on our website, on Facebook, and emailed to those who have requested our email newsletter and/or regular updates
