Lynn and Darin Botts have been married for 22 years. They moved to Buffalo from Plymouth seven years ago. Darin is an architectural draftsman at Murphy & Co. here in town, and Lynn has previously worked as a medical secretary, scheduler, and transcriptionist. Their daughter, Chloe, is entering 9th grade at Buffalo High School, and their son, Noah, is entering 3rd grade at Parkside Elementary.
They felt there were many activities and opportunities for the entire family to participate in at Zion, and became members last spring. At the new member orientation, Lynn learned of the new Facility Coordinator position, applied for the job, and started working at Zion within about a month.
As Facility Coordinator she schedules events, meetings and activities that happen at Zion, both internal ministries and for community groups that use space at the church. She also helps with setting up and tearing down of activities and various custodial duties.
She enjoys talking and meeting with the various people who use the building, and the variety of job duties.
Zion has a fabulous staff. Everyone that works here is always so happy and helpful. We all work as a team. It’s refreshing to see that in a workplace. I enjoy coming to work every day and seeing everyone.
Lynn is also occasionally a part of the worship team that sings at the 9:45 and 10:30 worship services three times a month, and hopes to get involved in volunteering at the Buffalo Food Shelf and other ministry areas at Zion. In her spare time, Lynn likes to cook and bake, read, travel, and create digital photo albums.
