Marcy Markovich

Marcy Markovich has been working in Zion’s front office since the beginning of November 2016.

Marcy was raised in the Lutheran faith and her favorite Bible verse is Matthew 6:34:

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough troubles of its own.

It is a good reminder to me to take one day at a time, to stop worrying and leave it up to God.

She has many fond memories of church.

It is hard to pick just one memory. There is a common thread throughout these special memories of church, these memories always include family and friends.

She has been married to Frank for 16 years, and they have one dog, Joey, a Bichon Frise. She enjoys gardening, walking Joey, biking, cooking, cross country skiing, and reading.

Each year my husband and I head to the Gunflint to hike and enjoy the outdoors.

Marcy previously worked in quality assurance in the software industry for many years, and most recently at a nonprofit serving seniors, and at a senior center. At Zion, Marcy’s responsibilities include greeting office visitors, answering phones, administrative support for pastoral staff, and working with office volunteers.

This position at Zion allows me a more flexible schedule to spend time with family, friends and volunteer at the Crow River Senior Center in St. Michael.

She usually works from 10:30 to 4:30, Monday through Thursday, and some Sundays at the information desk.
