Mary Dargiewicz started working with Laurie in Zion’s office in November. Mary’s duties include answering phones, greeting visitors, scheduling & preparation for weddings, baptisms, and funerals, preparing weekly bulletin inserts, and clerical support for pastors and ministries. Her work hours are Wednesday through Friday in the office, and one Sunday morning each month at the information desk.
Mary most recently worked at a funeral home as a director’s assistant. Prior to that she worked as a wine consultant, and was a legal assistant for 30 years.
She enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends. She likes going to movies, relaxing by the lake, gardening, sitting on the deck watching “entertaining” cows on the farm behind her house, and attending and watching sporting events. Mary’s passion for sports started when her Dad coached her in sports starting in the 5th grade and her love for hockey with her Mom and Dad.
I am married to my most special and loving husband, John. I have three siblings, two sisters and one brother; many nieces and nephew, great-nieces and great-nephews. We have been through a lot these past couple years. Both my dad and mom passed away. They are both missed very much. We were very blessed to have the most loving and caring parents in our lives.
She is enjoying working with a wonderful group of people who have made her feel so very welcomed and blessed to be a part of Zion, and looks forward to learning something new every day, continuing to grow in the most rewarding and challenging moments, and building relationships with families at Zion.
Mary finds strength in listening to positive and encouraging music, and her favorite hymn is The Prayer by Celtic Woman.
It reminds me of my mom who was “very” Irish and has a special meaning.
