Ingrid and her family recently became members of Zion along with her mother, Barb Bakke.
My name is Ingrid Ruth Rogalski, my maiden name was Bakke. I have been married to my amazing husband Daniel for two years now. We have a son together who is 5 months old and his name is Rutger Alan. We also have an older “son” our dog Maxwell who we rescued little over two years now. I just started a new position within Allina Health where I am able to work from home. I was working at the Crossroads urgent care in Buffalo for about two years where I would check people in. So if I look familiar that could be why.
Prior to coming to Zion I grew up at the ELC Lutheran Church in Cokato. My family started going there when I was 4 or 5 years old. This is where I was confirmed and spent most of my time at growing up. I was very involved with my church. Sunday school, Bible studies, youth group, mission trips, but most of all CAMP! I loved summer time when it was time to go to camp.
Ingrid’s favorite Bible verse, that gets her through some rough days, is Philippians 4:13:
“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
My Hero…. My dad would be my hero. Not just because he was in the military, a firefighter and an EMT. He was my hero because he was MY dad. I lost my dad to stage 4 cancer 6 years ago. I am the youngest of 3 and the only girl. So needless to say I was “Daddy’s girl” My dad was one of the most amazing men I have ever met. He served others without asking for anything in return.
My dad did God’s work every day of his life. He always put others before himself. He provided for his family and would do whatever it took to keep up safe and happy and very well taken care of. My dad showed me daily how to treat others. He would tell me just because we may not like something that someone chooses to do, doesn’t mean we stop loving them but we should continue to show them love and kindness.
I loved seeing how my dad treated my mom and sometimes would remind me that she was his wife and not just my mom. He loved my mom so much and would do anything to make her happy or life a little easier. I would say my dad was me and my siblings’ biggest fan. He never missed a dance recital, swimming meet, musicals, football games; you always knew he would be there cheering you on.
Ingrid is ready to jump in a join the Zion Family.
I would like to get involved in a worship group, I would also like to be involved in a moms group if there is one. I also miss volunteering, so I hope I am able to get back into that. Also if there are ever programs/plays I would love to be involved in stuff like that, since I like to be the center of attention… (joking) … well, kind of.
We welcome Ingrid and her family!
