Reaching out and teaching kids as early as possible is very beneficial

Nicole Allen

Nicole has been a member of Zion since 2014, and joined Zion’s nursery staff in May 2016.

Her parents and husband have been a big influence on her faith. She was baptized, raised, and confirmed in the Catholic church. Her children, and growing relationships within the church continue to inspire her.

Nicole worked as a project manager in the construction department of Best Buy for 15 years straight out of college, handling transformations (merchandise remodels).

She has been married to Thomas for five years and has a 17-year-old step daughter, Alexis, 3-year-old daughter, Caroline, and 20-month-old daughter, Caitlin. They enjoy camping in the summer, and Nicole volunteers with Waverly Boosters.

When they were looking for a church home, they researched and visited many congregations.

We knew many people that went to this church. Having relationships in the church is very nice.

Nicole and Thomas are enjoying meeting new people at Zion, and value the activities like VBS, Sunday school, and confirmation that keep their children involved and interested. Caroline attended her first VBS this summer.
They have served on a Sunday morning welcome team occasionally, but the nursery has been Nicole’s main involvement.

I ultimately want to be part of the church family and help out.  This is an area I feel better suited, plus being around kids is a daily occurrence for me. Reaching out and teaching kids as early as possible is very beneficial (this is something I am seeing as a positive with my oldest daughter).

Nicole is happy to be on board in the nursery and enjoys the people and experience.
