Serve Those in Need

Pastor Ted

“Serve those in need” is the third part of Zion’s Mission Statement – To Share Christ’s Word, Strengthen faith, and Serve those in need.

Each spring during our Spring Stewardship Emphasis we focus on how we as individuals use our time and talents in serving God. This year’s theme will be “Serving in this World God Loves.” Three Sunday morning messages, April 10, 17, and 24, will explore the ways that we can use our lives to serve both inside and outside of the church.

  • April 10: A World God Loves
  • April 17: Serving With Your Abilities
  • April 24: Serving The World God Loves

This Spring Stewardship Emphasis has several other components …
The LifeKeys Gifts Discovery Course is an opportunity to think about your life and how you can use what God has given you to make a difference in the world. Participating in two sessions (April 12 and 16) with class presentations, book reading, discussions and inventories will help you discover how you can make the most of life. Read more on page 11.

Another component is SERVE Weekend, April 22 to 24. With numerous venues for serving, there is sure to be a place for you to plug in and make a difference in the Buffalo area. Sunday, April 24th will include a meal packaging day led by Harvest of Hands during the morning and into the afternoon. Read more on page 4.

God has given each of us gifts, talents, and interests to make a difference in our world – so join us in April for our Spring Stewardship Emphasis.
