Zion’s Wednesday morning workers have been meeting for about three years. Just as the name implies, every Wednesday morning in the spring and fall, the group gets together to do whatever jobs are needed around Zion and Zion’s properties. Bob Quady organizes the projects and lets everyone know where to meet and what tools might be needed for any given week. Past projects have included cutting trees at the Zion cemetery, clearing old equipment from the woods, cutting and killing buckthorn, planting trees near the amphitheater, and burning the prairie east of the church. The group helped out extensively during the Sanctuary remodeling project by removing pews, installing pew seats, and reinstalling the pews. Pictured is the group from Wednesday, May 3, having donuts, water, and a little fellowship following spring clean up at Zion cemetery. If you would like to get on the email list and help, please contact the church office to get connected.
